It seems the Princess is sometimes influenced by other royals when choosing her outfits, such as the Duchess of Cambridge and the late Princess Diana.
I started with a lining from what I think was a cotton/poly broadcloth scrap, sewing boning in the casing down to each seam (roughly, I kinda improvised the boning placement) and then pinning it to the skirt to test the fit
